Adoption of a hospital bed

Our health care activities include medical examinations, outpatient treatments, hospitalizations and surgeries for children, young people, adults who, in about 90% of cases, are destitute; this means that, in addition to providing our work free of charge, we also bear the costs of drugs, clinical and instrumental examinations, hospitalization and surgery for our poor patients, as well as the costs related to the material we use in the operating room (from sutures to hip or shoulder prosthesis). On average, the hospitalization of a patient (including tests, drugs, surgery, postoperative hospitalization) costs 105 euros.

You can help us by adopting a bed/year at a cost of 105 euros, either as a lump sum or with half-yearly or quarterly transfers.

Donation of a prosthesis to amputees

Inside the Hospital of Bubanza, in Burundi, there is an atelier for the production and maintenance of prostheses and orthoses for people with severe motor handicaps in the upper and lower limbs (amputations, severe malformations, results of paralysis). Many of the components of the prosthesis come from Italy or other European countries, as they are not available locally. The average cost of a leg prosthesis (below the knee) is about 400 euros.

You can help us by financing all or part of the construction of a prosthesis, either as a lump sum or with half-yearly or quarterly transfers.
