School building – Teachers training

With this project we want to help the poorest children and young people to improve their social condition by investing in their education, through the construction or modernization of schools, the training and periodic updating of teachers and the integration of their poor wages, in collaboration with local associations. So far we have built four classrooms of a secondary school in the village of Antsahanadrisa, Itasy Region, Antananarivo Province, in collaboration with the Loharano Association and with the families of the village; we have renovated, in collaboration with the Radler Association, four classrooms of a primary school in the Antaravay Salimo district, in Toliara, a city located in the extreme south of Madagascar; moreover, in collaboration with the Radler Association, we are building a semi-residential college in the Tanandava district, in the same city.  We have held three refresher courses for teachers and principals in Toliara and we are also taking care of the economic aspect, supporting them economically, since their salaries are very low.

College running costs

Once the college is up and running, the Andare Oltre Foundation will also bear all the running costs (salaries of teachers and non-teaching staff, teaching and secretarial materials, board and lodging for 100 students and 15-20 employees, supply of coal, utilities), estimated at about 31,000 euro/year, at the current exchange rate, i.e. 310 euro/year for each student.

You can help us by financing 1 year of school for each student with 310 euro/year, in a single payment or with semi-annual or quarterly transfers.
